Your application will be assessed by the Admission Tutor in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Policy, Mr Samuel Garrett, and by the Admissions Tutor for the MA Programme, Dr Silvia Camporesi.
Mr Sam Garrett will assess visa eligibility and your transcripts, while Dr Silvia Camporesi will assess your personal statement and reference letters.
You will need to write a personal statement (1 to 2 pages), upload two letters of reference (preferably, written by your academic advisors), and your original transcripts. In your personal statement you should explain why you are interested in the MA in Bioethics & Society and could include, for example, details of your motivation and your relevant knowledge, experience or skills. We look for candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in the programme and are committed to advanced interdisciplinary study at postgraduate level.
There are no requirements in terms of what subjects you have studied at undergraduate level (we welcome interdisciplinarity!), but you will need to have earned a 2.1 (or equivalent) in your undergraduate studies in order to qualify for this programme.
We aim to process applications within three weeks; during holiday periods applications may take longer to process.
