The Bioethics & Society programme is ideal for health professionals, graduates of a relevant discipline, policy makers and shapers, and those wishing to develop a more rigorous understanding of ethical and societal issues in biomedicine, neuroscience, and health policy today.
In addition, our degrees lay the foundation for future careers; for example, in government, national and international NGOs, teaching, or research in bioethics or social science. For more information about career paths see here.
The MA in Bioethics & Society can be taken full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years.
We also offer nested awards as a Postgraduate Diploma in Bioethics & Society (120 credits of coursework, no dissertation) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Bioethics & Society (60 credits of selected coursework). These awards are particularly suited to enhance existing careers in clinical practice, biomedical research, public health, and health policy.
