Bioethics Film Screening

We are very pleased to announce the launch of a joint Bioethics Film Screening Series with the Department of Film Studies at King’s College London. The series is sponsored by the Biomedicine Ethics and Social Justice Group (BESJ)

The screenings are going to be held on Tuesdays at 6 pm in the Film Studies screening room (first room ground floor on the left before entering the East Wing, King’s Building). Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

MandyIn the first semester the screenings and discussions will focus on the topic of Disability. The dates for term 1 (Autumn 2014) are:

Tuesday September 30 Mandy

Tuesday October 14 Beyond Silence 

Tuesday November 18 Blue

Tuesday December 9 tbc

The topic for the second semester (Spring 2015) will be Ageing and for the third semester (Summer 2015) Gender/Identity.

Dates and titles for term 2 and 3 will be announced here.

After the film screening Dr Catherine Wheatley from Film Studies and Dr Silvia Camporesi from SSHM will lead the discussion. The screenings are interdisciplinary and open to all interested students and members of faculty across the School. For inquiries contact silvia.1.camporesi@kcl.ac.uk
